A quick rundown of my audio journalism background:
During my time at 1010 Wins & WCBS 880, I reported and wrote episodes for our lineup of shows, while also stepping in to host and edit episodes. Shows include: Beyond Black History Month, In Depth, It’s Okay To Say Gay, and Your Weirdest Fears. Our team won a Murrow in 2023 for Beyond Black History Month. Prior to my work there, I produced the daily news podcast Get the News with Gretchen Carlson. I took over as executive producer for the show while our regular EP was on maternity leave. My work on Get the News included scripting a line-up of daily breaking news briefs. I also served as the producer for Soledad O’Brien’s twice-weekly newsmagazine podcast, Very Opinionated. I pitched ideas, wrote scripts, produced recordings, and cut tape. I also produced What Do You Really Think? with Marc Lamont Hill and Buck Sexton, a chat-style show showcasing political perspectives from both sides. I got into the podcast world by producing and editing the Empowered Health podcast, which focused on the misinformation surrounding women’s health.
